Ms Nassery Cole demonstrates strength and compassion and gives us a new perspective on the triumph of an Afgnanie woman telling a story and making a statement..Sonia directed and produced the documentary film The Breadwinner and the feature film Black Tulip, which were both shot on location in Afghanistan.The film,The Black Tulip, depicts the fictional Mansouri family who start a restaurant in Kabul named The Poets’ Corner and centers on Farishta a woman who runs the cafe, where they serve wine in teapots and have poetry readings by members of the U.S. military. The Taliban,angered by the activities at the cafe, begin kidnapping and assassinating family and friends
